In honor of Colonel Bill Jenrette, Lyman Ward has renamed this event as the Colonel Jenrette Memorial Golf Tournament. Colonel Jenrette was a mentor to countless faculty members, staff, and cadets. He was fully committed to the academy and constantly pushed others to become leaders on campus and in the community. All proceeds from this tournament will be used as scholarships for cadets attending the academy.
The cost for participating in the Colonel Jenrette Memorial Golf Tournament is $125 per player. This includes $40 in tickets and fees with an $85 tax deductible donation to the academy. A team of four players can register for $400 per team. This includes $160 in tickets and fees with a $240 tax deductible donation to the academy.
There are numerous sponsorship opportunities available. The hole sponsorship is $250 and will include logo recognition at the assigned hole. There are 18 hole sponsorships available. The corporate sponsorship is $1,000. This sponsorship will include logo recognition on all printed materials as well as verbal recognition during the refreshment period following the tournament. Finally, the event sponsorship is $5,000 and will be the presenting sponsor of the tournament.
In addition, the Colonel Jenrette Memorial Golf Tournament will take place on Lyman Ward’s Homecoming weekend. The Rangers will battle on the gridiron against Ezekiel Academy at Lyman Ward Military Academy. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
